Beach Clean as an SDGs Activity

Inspired by the philosophy of "Taketombo," we have partnered with Big Blue Ocean Cleanup as part of our commitment to a sustainable future. Our beach clean-up activities contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 14 (Life Below Water) and Goal 15 (Life on Land).

As a surfing enthusiast, I enjoy the comfort and joy that the ocean provides. With a deep sense of gratitude, I am committed to giving back to the ocean and nature through beach clean-ups. By picking up plastic and other litter on the beach, we work to protect marine environments and wildlife. This activity also serves as a way to raise awareness in the community, encouraging people to reduce waste and adopt sustainable consumption habits.

Through this, we also support Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by creating a cleaner and more beautiful environment that residents can be proud of. Although this may be a small-scale activity now, our vision is to grow it into a broader community initiative that involves more people, promoting environmental awareness across the entire community. Through these beach clean-ups, we aim not only to protect the environment but also to foster a stronger sense of unity and shared purpose within the community.

Each small step we take may seem modest, but we believe that many small actions can create a large impact. With gratitude for the ocean, we will continue our efforts to achieve the SDGs, preserving our beautiful coastlines and a healthier future for the next generation.
